Community Days is all about recognizing the good in Kansas City's community.

KMBC and KCWE's initiative is to highlight different organizations on the 9th and 29th of each month and share the positive impact they've been doing in their neighborhoods. We were tasked to create a visual identity that was fun, friendly, dynamic, but most importantly that connected with Kansas City's community.

In our discovery process, we identified was important to highlight two concepts that are nicknames of the city: "City of Fountains" and the "Heart of America". This was key to create a recognizable mark that is being embraced by the people of Kansas City.

KMBC KCWE Community Days — is a public service initiative that connects Kansas City television viewers with organizations doing good for the community.

A motion toolkit was designed to help producers at the stations with their promo creations.

The heart of the community.

The logomark was selected to be part of a public arts experience located in the heartland of the united states called ‘The Parade of Hearts’.

This is a time-lapse video of the painting process of the heart. To learn more about this piece and the art exhibit go to the link.
