Interactive Installation

Floriography (2014)

- In our city (Cali, Colombia) grows ancestral beings whom have been forgotten by contemporary civilizations because they're speechless.

This research/creation project aims to explore the relationship between the nature space and the artifice suggesting a dialogue where these two opposites get together to create a new urban experience. We used technology to create a different way to interact with nature and make people to gazed it again, to heard it.

Floriography - was an ephemeral interactive installation placed around a Ceiba tree on "El Parque del Perro” (or The dog park) of Cali Colombia. It was composed by around thirty-five electronic flowers and vegetation divided in five different species with specific interactions and reactions. From lights to scents people received different feedbacks having a whole new sensory experience.
